Meet Fletcher - A loving cat-dad and food enthusiast who is always willing to help solve a problem and learn something new!

Hometown: Sewickley, PA

What is your role at Perenso and what does it entail: I’m an Associate Data Engineer. I work on getting the data into our system, getting the data back out via the reports we offer, and helping the success team make sure everything is good and ready for the show.

How long have you been at Perenso: A little over a year!

What is your favorite thing about working at Perenso: I get to work with a lot of smart people who are constantly working on ways to make things better. There's a lot of encouragement to bring up weak spots in our processes and to find ways to sort them out. That means I get to spend my time working on the things that matter.

How did you end up at Perenso: I had been looking for a change of jobs after working in Madison, WI for a year and a half, and was lucky enough to find them scrolling through a job board. During the interview process, one of the main things that stood out to me was that Perenso is a company really focused on their people and their culture, which was a major selling point. The job was a perfect combination of technical and personal fit, so when I got the offer, it was a no brainer to accept!

The most exciting thing you’re working on: We’re making a lot of exciting changes to reporting that I think is going to really improve the process.

What is the strangest food combination that you enjoy: I’m not sure I like any particularly strange combinations, but I’m pretty adventurous with the things I eat. I’ll eat tripe or sweetbreads any time I can, for instance, and as a household we consume a fairly alarming amount of raw fish.

Who is your favorite person in the world? Why: Definitely my wife! We’ve been friends since middle school, and I’ve always thought she was the coolest person in the room. She has a lot of ideas about a whole range of interests so talking to her is never boring.

Where is the coolest place you’ve traveled: By far the coolest place I have been is Rome. Pretty much every story I have of my trip was wandering down some side road and getting pulled into an incredible restaurant or stumbling onto some historical landmark. I’m convinced that you couldn’t have a bad day in Rome if you tried.

Do you have any pets: I have two! I have a ginger cat named Marmalade who we’ve had for about three years and a tortoiseshell cat named Autumn we’ve had for a little over a year. They are very affectionate and being remote means I get to give a lot of head scratches throughout the day.

If you could live anywhere, where would you live and why: I got to spend college in Boston and loved it. It’s a great food city with lots of amazing restaurants and bars. And it’s the place we’re I was lucky enough to make some lifelong friends. Hopefully one day I’ll get to move back!
